About Readspeaker Navigator

To help improve the accessibility of our website we use the ReadSpeaker Navigator software. This software, when activated, will read aloud the content and links of a page on this website.

ReadSpeaker Navigator supports most browsers including Internet Explorer (IE), Netscape, Opera, Safari, Mozilla and Lynx.  An internet connection, browser and speakers (or headphones) are required.

Using Readspeaker Navigator

Make sure your volume is turned up.

Readspeaker tips

  1. For pages below the homepage you may want to select the option to Read text only to prevent all of the header links on the page being repeated.
  2. All tables are read from left to right
  3. Readspeaker will not work if you leave www.spelthorne.gov.uk and go to an external site
