A special meeting of Spelthorne Council’s Performance Management and Review Committee is being held to discuss the proposed introduction of a GP-led Health Centre at Ashford Hospital.

The meeting will take place at 7.30pm on 24 September at St. David’s School, Church Road, Ashford and will be attended by representatives from the Surrey Primary Care Trust, Spelthorne GPs, Ashford & St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Trust and Spelthorne Borough Council.

The meeting has been arranged in response to local concerns that a GP-led Health Centre may adversely affect existing GP services in the Borough.

Members of the public are encouraged to attend the event and there will be an opportunity for them to submit questions to the Committee in advance of the meeting.
Cllr Phillippa Broom, Chairman of the Performance Management and Review Committee said: “This meeting will be an ideal opportunity for members of the public to gain clarity on what is being proposed and to air their views and concerns about the effect a GP-led Health Centre may have on the local area”.
