The South East of England Regional Assembly (SEERA), the governing body for the South East region, will undertake a public consultation between 1 September and 21 November on draft proposals to provide additional accommodation for gypsies and travelling showmen across the South East region for the period 2006 to 2016.
If you would like further information, please click on the following link: www.southeast-ra.gov.uk/consultation_details.php

The proposed pitch numbers for Spelthorne are as follows:
Gypsies and travellers – between seven and nine additional pitches
Travelling showmen – between four and seven additional pitches

There will be an exhibition event for the North Surrey authorities (Elmbridge, Runnymede, Woking and Spelthorne) at The Lightbox, Woking on 1 October from 10am to 9pm, at which the general public and interested groups will be able to register their views on the pitch numbers.
