The Children and Young People's Partnership (CYPP) aims to improve opportunities for children and young people in Spelthorne and to engage and involve them in decision making.

The Children and Young People’s Partnership consists of statutory agencies, voluntary and the faith sectors.
Linked to the CYPP is the Spelthorne professional youth worker forum (the getting things done
group) and the youth council.

The Partnership is also involved in linking in with the “Every Child Matters” agenda and Surrey Alliance.

The Partnership is responsible for the Young People's Spelthorne section of the  Community Plan and is working together to achieve our aims on three key priorities:

  1. Places to go (be healthy and enjoy and achieve) and maximise the opportunities for travel
  2. Safety (be safe)
  3. Information (healthy, safe, enjoy and achieve, positive contribution)
The new Youth Strategy will co-ordinate the work on these priorities.
