UK Youth Parliament- UKYP provides a nation-wide forum for young people. It allows them to put forward their views on key issues of concern to political leaders, including members of the British Government, the Scottish Parliament, and the Welsh Assembly.
British Youth Council - BYC is the representative body for young people in the UK. An independent charity, run for and by young people, it represents their views to central and local government, political parties, pressure groups and the media.
Young Gov- A new website for young people was launched at the beginning of November on ukonline. youngGov aims to make government information more accessible and relevant to 11-18 year olds. Developed in consultation with 700 young people, the section provides a huge range of information on topics such as youth groups, planning a gap year, bullying, volunteering, the dangers of under-age drinking, and keeping safe on the web. The 'How government works' section provides an A-Z of politics, a quick guide to government and information on how Bills and laws are developed.
