E-Government and electronic service delivery
Spelthorne Borough Council is committed to using modern Information and Communications Technology (ICT) to make it easier, quicker and cheaper for local services to be delivered to its citizens.

This reflects the Government's target for all Government services (where appropriate) to be available to the public electronically by 2005.  You may wish to look at the Do it online page. Please use and tell others about the wide range of online services we now offer.  By dealing with us online you are helping to keep the Council tax down.

The Government requires councils to produce Implementing Electronic Government Statements (IEGS). Subject to their being judged satisfactory by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister, grants of £200,000 per year in 2002/03 and 2003/04, £350,000 in 2004/05 and £150,000 in 2005/06 have been awarded by the Government to assist with implementation.

The Council submitted its final Implementing Electronic Government Return for 2006 on 10 April 2006, this and previous returns are available below.

Feedback and comments from citizens and partners will be greatly welcomed. Please send these to Richard Wilkinson, Head of Customer and E-Government Services.
