  1. Strategy  (Word 60kb)
Aims This strategy provides a framework for the Council to promote social inclusion within the borough as a whole.
Overview The strategy outlines the Council’s commitment to social inclusion; explains the local context; defines the key principles which underpin the strategy; and sets out the key objectives, and how they will be implemented.

The Strategy seeks to adopt a multi-agency approach in terms of co-ordinating the work of organisations involved in delivering services and through integrating the underlying principles of the strategy into service planning and delivery.
Links The Strategy addresses the Council’s 4 Priorities and will be key to the planning and delivery of services to the public in terms of ensuring equal access for all. In addition, the Strategy is vital in delivering the objectives of the Community Strategy and reflects the objectives under the Council’s Equality and Diversity Policy.
