| Aims | This strategy provides a framework for the Council to promote social inclusion within the borough as a whole. |
| Overview |
The strategy outlines the Council’s commitment to social inclusion; explains the local context; defines the key principles which underpin the strategy; and sets out the key objectives, and how they will be implemented. The Strategy seeks to adopt a multi-agency approach in terms of co-ordinating the work of organisations involved in delivering services and through integrating the underlying principles of the strategy into service planning and delivery. |

In addition, the Strategy is vital in delivering the objectives of the Community Strategy and reflects the objectives under the Council’s Equality and Diversity Policy. |
