| Brief CV | I have lived in the Borough since 1967 and served in The Met. Police in and around Heathrow till 1983. I was elected to Spelthorne in 1993, having been Chairman of Staines Moormasters for three years. This work gave me an insight into the significant value of our open spaces and Common Land. Since becoming a member, I have been Deputy Mayor (1998) , Mayor in 1999/2000, and for three of the last four years I have been Chairman of the Planning Committee, this is a challenging role which requires good knowledge of the locality and the need to take a range of issues into account in making decisions. I organise the Annual Trident Memorial Service in June, as well as the Remembrance Day Parade. I am also Chairman of Staines Charities and Vice President of Staines Brass Band, a role of which I am particularly proud. |
