Direct Debit Council Tax payments online and by telephone Standing order Post Office and Paypoint By post Direct Debit The Council offers three payment dates, the 1, 15 and 22 of the month for you to select the most convenient. You can print off and complete the direct debit instruction and return via the post. Alternatively you can sign up here and this will download your details to the Revenues Office. Telephone By touchtone telephone using our lo-call number 0845 602 0727. Payment can be made anytime day or night using this facility. Alternatively payment by telephone can be made by contacting a member of our Customer Services team on 01784 451499 between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday. Please note that there is an additional fee payable for payments by credit card. If you wish to make a payment, please have your Council Tax account reference to hand as well as your debit or credit card (Note: your Council Tax account reference should be nine digits long). Standing Order Obtain a Standing Order form from your bank and complete instructing your bank to pay the Co-operative Bank account number 61021918, sort code 089034. Always quote your Council Tax reference number found on your bill. Return the completed Standing Order to your bank. It is the Council Tax payer's responsibility to ensure that the Standing Order is paid on time for the right amount. Post Office and Paypoint outlets Payment can be made at most Post Offices by cash or cheque or Paypoint outlets by cash only if your bill has a barcode printed on it. By post - cheques only All cheques should be made payable to Spelthorne Borough Council crossed 'A/C Payee Only' and sent with a completed voucher to :- Cashiers Office, Spelthorne Borough Council , PO Box 290, Staines TW18 1UX. Note: If a receipt is not required, only send a completed instalment slip with your cheque not the whole book and remember to write your Council Tax reference number on the back of the cheque. If a receipt is required please ensure a stamped addressed envelope is sent with the completed instalment slip and your cheque. Alternatively cheque payments can be posted in either the external letter box at the Council Offices or in the internal box which can be found in the reception area close to the site of the former cash office.
