Cllr Maureen Attewell, Cabinet Member for Community Wellbeing said: "The Surrey Youth Games is one of the sporting highlights of the year for Spelthorne and I'm delighted to say that we came a very respectable third place again this year. The number of children wanting to take part was very high again, with Spelthorne winning the prize for entering more teams than any other borough.

Thank you to the all the clubs, coaches, and volunteers for their fantastic support and also our sponsors Everyone Active, Shepperton Studios and The Jockey Club who enabled the children to receive free coaching. Congratulations to everyone who took part in the Games and we hope to see many of you again next year."
