Eighty children from four local primary schools took part in the third year of Singing Picnics at Kempton Park Racecourse. Singing Picnics give primary school children in Surrey an opportunity to perform songs to each other, play singing games lead by professional tutors and enjoy a picnic lunch at parks and inspirational spaces across the county. The event was organised by Surrey Arts, supported by Spelthorne Borough Council and Kempton Park Racecourse.
Participating Schools included St. Michaels RC Primary School, Springfield Primary School, Manor Mead School and Chennestone Primary School.
Councillor Maureen Attewell, Portfolio holder for Community Wellbeing said; "These picnics are a wonderful opportunity for children to come together and express themselves through song. Thank you very much to Kempton Park their continued support with this event. I hope all of these children are inspired to keep up and further develop their interest in music."
