Community environmental groups

Meet new people, learn new skills and take an active role in your community. There are many roles you can get involved with.

The links below give details of the various groups in the Borough who would be keen to hear from you.

So if you are a willing volunteer who would like to improve our environment, make sure you get in touch.

Let us work together to make Spelthorne a better place for all who live and work in the Borough.

Spelthorne Tree Warden Volunteers

Spelthorne Tree Wardens are a group of volunteers who plant and maintain trees in our community. The national tree wardens scheme was established by the Tree Council after the great storm of 1987 to allow people to play an active roll in conserving and enhancing their local trees and woods.

Spelthorne Tree Wardens celebrated its tenth year in 2006 and the group supplies and plants over 150 standard size trees annually. If you would like a tree planted for a small donation (£30-35), please get in contact with us.

More information can be found on the Surrey Tree Wardens website.
