Automated out of hours telephone service

We have an automated out of hours telephone service for Council Tax, Business Rates and Housing Benefits. This service can be reached by dialling the main Council number 01784 451499. It will operate from 5pm to 8am Monday to Thursday and from 4.45pm on Friday evening to 8am on Monday morning.

This service allows you to report changes to your circumstances and make requests on matters relating to Council Tax, Housing Benefits and business rates when the Council offices are closed.

Payments using credit and debit cards can also be made via our out of hours automated telephone payment system. Telephone 01784 444220 and follow the instructions. Please make sure you have your account or reference number when calling.

To get directly to the area you require, you can use hot keys. At the start of your call you will be asked if you know the hot key number for the service you need. Simply press the relevant number on your phone.
