Information on protected trees, preservation, conservation areas and trees on verges

Trees create a green environment for our residents.

Important trees are protected by Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs). Trees in conservation areas are also protected.

We are monitoring our local woodland for evidence of the deadly fungus that is killing Ash trees. The majority of cases of Ash die back that have been found across the UK are in mature woodland sites. As yet, we have not discovered any Ash trees suffering from the outbreak.
