Wellbeing Centre

The Wellbeing Centre is a one stop shop for help and information about dementia, memory loss and related services.

It is aimed at people in the early stages of dementia, providing information and support. The services on offer aim to slow the impact of the disease, enhance quality of life and support carers. The Centre is linked up with existing dementia and older people's services and give carers and sufferers one port of call for help and information.

The Wellbeing Centre has a telecare demonstration suite where people can see the various types of equipment designed to help people to stay living in their own homes, from personal/community alarms to smoke and gas detectors linked to a 24 hour call centre for extra safety and reassurance.

The Alzheimer' Society and Age UK hold weekly sessions in the Wellbeing Centre, if you would like more details please telephone 01932 246173, or to book an appointment with a dementia specialist  call 01784 444214.

If you have a few spare hours to make a real difference in your local community, please consider the opportunities for volunteering at the Centre.
