Council pays tribute to former Councillor Richard Dunn

Richard was first elected to represent Laleham & Shepperton Green Ward and then later, Sunbury Common Ward, where he served his residents with dedication until his retirement from local politics in 2023. Most recently, he supported the Deputy Mayor, Councillor Sandra Dunn, during her Mayoral year, assisting with official engagements and charity events.

The Mayor of Spelthorne, Councillor John Doran, said:

“On behalf of the entire Council, I extend our deepest sympathies to Richard’s family and friends. It was an honour to work alongside him during my own Mayoral year. His kindness, commitment, and warmth touched many, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Richard was a great friend to both me and the Mayoress, and we will remember him with deep affection.”

As a mark of respect, the Council's flag is being flown at half-mast.
