Spelthorne leadership team elected

Key roles at Spelthorne Borough Council have been confirmed following the Annual Council Meeting held on Thursday 22 May

Cllr Joanne Sexton who represents Ashford East was elected to hold the position of Leader of the Council. Cllr Chris Bateson who represents Staines South was elected as Deputy Leader.

Spelthorne Borough Council operates a Committee model of governance structure, with each Committee having delegated responsibilities, you can read the functions of each Committee here. The appointment of Spelthorne Council's Committee Chairs and Vice Chairs was also agreed at the meeting:

Corporate Policy and Resources Committee:

Cllr Sexton - Chair, Cllr Bateson - Vice-Chair

Environment and Sustainability Committee:

Cllr Beecher - Chair, Cllr Grant - Vice-Chair

Community Wellbeing and Housing Committee:

Cllr S. Doran - Chair, Cllr Attewell - Vice-Chair

Business, Infrastructure and Growth Committee:

Cllr Williams - Chair, Cllr Boughtflower - Vice-Chair

Licensing Committee:

Cllr Dunn - Chair, Cllr Lee - Vice-Chair

Planning Committee:

Cllr Gibson - Chair, Cllr Geraci - Vice-Chair

Audit Committee:

Cllr Button - Chair, Cllr Howkins - Vice-Chair

Investigatory and Disciplinary Committee:

Cllr Woodward - Chair, Cllr Geach - Vice-Chair
