The Spelthorne Business Forum, in partnership with Spelthorne Borough Council and a host of prestigious sponsors, is proud to announce that Your Story Songbook, brainchild of sisters Natalie & Louise has won the 2025 Spelthorne Business Plan Competition, securing a £4,000 cash prize to help bring their brilliant business idea to life.
Now in its 11th year, the competition continues to shine a spotlight on the incredible entrepreneurial talent emerging from the borough. The initiative is designed to support start-ups and early-stage businesses with viable, exciting ideas that could make a lasting impact on the local economy and beyond.
This year's winner impressed the judges with a standout pitch, combining innovation, sustainability, and a clear path to growth. The judging panel made up of senior representatives from Shepperton Studios, Timeless IMS, BP, dnata, Step8Up Academy, and Holly Hobbs of Apprentivia praised the business for its clarity of vision, strong commercial strategy, and potential for positive community impact.
"We are delighted to win this year's Spelthorne Business Plan competition. We wholeheartedly believe in the Songbook Story concept, and we were so pleased that the judges could also see what we are trying to achieve with our business idea. This award will help us bring our idea to life - turning people's stories and favourite songs into lasting keepsakes. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the Spelthorne Business Forum and partners for their invaluable and ongoing support in helping us to build the business plan and pitch for the final."

The competition has a proud legacy of discovering and championing local entrepreneurs. Previous winners have gone on to scale their ideas, and become active contributors to the local business ecosystem.
This year's event was another powerful reminder of the creativity and ambition thriving in Spelthorne. As the borough continues to invest in innovation, opportunity, and enterprise, competitions like this remain a vital part of nurturing future success stories.
