Hedge Cutting and Bird Nesting Season
We would like to remind residents that hedge cutting should not take place between March and the end of August. This is because it is bird nesting season, when many species rely on hedges and shrubs to safely raise their young.
Carrying out hedge cutting during this period can disturb or harm nesting birds, which are protected by law.
We appreciate your cooperation in helping to protect local wildlife. Routine hedge cutting can resume from September onwards.
Thank you for your understanding.
