Cllr John Doran said, “As my year as Mayor of Spelthorne comes to an end, I would like to reflect on what has been a rewarding and memorable experience, it has been a great honour to serve our Borough over the past year. I have greatly enjoyed meeting residents, visiting community groups, local businesses and charities, and seeing first-hand the dedication and kindness that make Spelthorne such a special place to live.
“I am especially grateful to everyone who supported my nominated charities. Thanks to your generosity, time and enthusiasm, we were able to raise valuable funds and awareness for these organisations, all of which do outstanding work within our community.
“I would also like to offer my sincere thanks to the Mayoress, Cllr Susan Doran, and Deputy Mayor Cllr Sandra Dunn, for their constant support throughout the year. I am equally grateful to my fellow councillors and to all the staff, past and present, at Spelthorne Borough Council for their professionalism, commitment and hard work behind the scenes.”
