Public consultation launched on £10 million plans to upgrade The Stanwell Hotel

Spelthorne Borough Council are aware that Splendid Hospitality Group has launched a public consultation on proposals to renovate and extend the Stanwell Hotel, on Town Lane in Stanwell and would like to encourage residents to have their say.

The hotel group have confirmed the plans which include a:

  • £10 million investment to modernise the hotel
  • increased number of guest rooms to 96
  • expanding the roof of the original building and adding a new single-storey extension
  • covered cycle storage, a dedicated taxi and mini-bus drop-off area, and eight electric vehicle charging points

Cllr Joanne Sexton, Leader of Spelthorne Borough Council said, “This is an important opportunity for local people to have their say on proposals that could shape the future of Stanwell. The current use of the hotel is not one that is a fit for our community, and I would urge residents and businesses to review the plans and share their views so they can be properly considered as part of the planning process.”
