Red warning of extreme heat and heat-health alert issued
The Met Office has issued a red warning of extreme heat for Surrey, in addition to a red heat-health alert issued for the south east by the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA). These are in place on Wednesday 24 and Thursday 25 June, with an amber warning and alert issued for Monday 22 and Tuesday 23 June.
The Met Office says: “an exceptional spell of hot and humid weather is expected across this region, with impacts to the general population highly likely”.
