Spelthorne in Bloom opens for entries

Green-fingered residents, businesses and community groups are invited to showcase their gardening talents as Spelthorne in Bloom returns for another year.

The popular annual competition celebrates the dedication and creativity of those helping to make the borough a brighter, greener and more welcoming place to live, work and visit.

This year’s competition features a wide range of categories to suit all types of gardeners and spaces:

  • Best Front Garden
  • Best Hanging Baskets
  • Best Community Garden/Allotment
  • Best Riverside Garden
  • Best Kept Allotment
  • Best Kept Place of Worship/War Memorial
  • Best Commercial Garden
  • Best School Planting Area
  • Best Kept Pub
  • Best Environmental Planting Project
  • Most Attractive Local Area within the Wards of Spelthorne

Entries open on 30 March and close on 26 June.

Chair of the Spelthorne in Bloom Committee, Nick Wood-Dow, said: “Spelthorne in Bloom is a wonderful opportunity to recognise the hard work and pride our residents, businesses and community groups put into their gardens and green spaces. Every year we are inspired by the creativity and care on display across the borough, and we encourage everyone, whether you’re a seasoned gardener or trying something new, to get involved and help make Spelthorne an even more vibrant place.”
