As a council Spelthorne Borough Council is committed to supporting our Spelthorne based businesses as best we can. This support extends to a range of ongoing initiatives including Spelthorne Business Hub.

Discretionary Grant Funding and Initiatives

Business Energy and Carbon Reduction Project

Spelthorne Borough Council has launched the SustainSpelthorne program, aimed at aiding businesses in reducing both their energy costs and carbon emissions.

This initiative offers free, impartial advice to help businesses navigate the 'cost of doing business crisis', covering essential services such as:

• energy costs
• insurance deals
• telephony costs
• water costs
• merchant fees.

Available to all Spelthorne-based businesses, the project provides access to cost reduction specialists who offer personalised advice and access to exclusive deals, potentially saving businesses significant amounts of money.

These 1-2-1 appointments are crucial for any business owner looking to mitigate rising costs, and the service is fully funded by Spelthorne Borough Council, making it entirely free for eligible businesses. Contact the Economic Development team to learn more and schedule an appointment.

Spelthorne Stronger Business Programme

The Spelthorne Stronger Business Programme is a free business support designed around the specific needs of a business.

 Free to businesses based in Spelthorne, the programme comprises areas of business support. These support sessions are specifically targeted to your business needs and can cover anything from

Build Your Business in Spelthorne Book

Spelthorne Borough Council publishes How to Build Your Business in Spelthorne Books which are free to Spelthorne based residents looking to start a business in Spelthorne or existing Spelthorne based businesses. This book is free to the end user but must be collected by appointment at either the Spelthorne Borough Council offices or our Spelthorne Business Hub in Sunbury.
