Allotments are very popular and in high demand for growing home grown fruit and vegetables. They can provide you with a new hobby and it doesn't matter if you are an experienced or novice gardener. Having an allotment allows you to:

• grow fresh, local produce
• grow organically
• have a more active lifestyle
• meet like-minded people

Spelthorne Council manage 10 allotment sites in the Borough.

Please be aware there are waiting lists and no time frame can be given to being allocated an allotment.

Plot sizes

Allotments are traditionally measured by the rod - a unit of measurement equals to 25 square meters.  Plots are normally five rods plots.

How much does an allotment cost?

Half price for those over 60 - proof of eligibility required.

The price is double for those who live out of the Borough.
