How to arrange burial of cremated remains yourself

We have four cemeteries in Spelthorne and each one has a Garden of Remembrance for cremated remains.

Each plot in the Garden of Remembrance can hold two sets of ashes. You can also purchase a full-size plot which can take up to six sets of ashes. The full plot is the size of a coffin.

Once you have decided which cemetery you would like to book, please contact the Cemetery Office to make the arrangements.

All interments shall take place between the hours of:

The Cemetery Office requires five clear working days notice before the date of an interment (burial). When the date and time has been confirmed please complete the interment Form and return to the Cemetery Office along with the Cremated Remains Certificate.

If you have an existing memorial on the plot, you will be required to remove this at least two days before the interment. The removal of the memorial should be carried out by a Memorial Mason.

You will receive a confirmation of your booking and an invoice together with ways to make payment over the phone via debit or credit card. Please be aware that payment is required before the day of the interment.

On the day of the interment our staff will be present and will assist if required and will backfill and tidy the plot once you have left.

• Section 1: Please fill in the details of the deceased
• Section 2: This is to be completed once the data and time has been arranged with the Cemetery Office
• Section 3: To be completed by the person making the arrangements
• Section 4: To be completed by the person purchasing the Plot
• Section 5: To be completed by the Owner
• Section 6: To be signed by a witness (no immediate family)
