Renters’ Rights Complaints Form
This form is for tenants who need help with problems involving their landlord or tenancy. You should use it if you are experiencing serious issues that could affect your housing, or if you believe your landlord or letting agent has not met their legal responsibilities. This includes situations such as:
- Being served an eviction notice
- Being told to leave your home
- Being locked out or having the locks changed
- Experiencing harassment, threats, or pressure to leave
- Having your belongings removed or access to your home restricted
- Unlawful rent increases or unexpected rent demands
- Being charged prohibited or unfair fees
- Not receiving required documents (e.g. gas safety certificates or prescribed information)
- Living in poor or unsafe property conditions
- Issues relating to pet requests
- Other breaches of your rights while you are still living in the property
