101 (this is the non-emergency call number, it does take longer to get an answer as we prioritise 999 calls)

https://www.surrey.police.uk/ click on this and follow the link about halfway down the web page that says report.  There are number of options and you may find this quicker in a non-emergency situation.  There is also a "live chat" button to the right of the main web page that can be clicked to message our contact staff directly to report a matter.  This is monitored 24/7 and again may be quicker than 101 and more personable than the report function.

Staines Police station still has a front counter which is open from 0800 to 2200 every day and you can report certain matters here.

Joint Enforcement Team (Spelthorne Borough Council)

The Enforcement team provide a quicker, more visible and robust response to antisocial behaviour on behalf of Spelthorne Council.

The Joint Enforcement Team work together with Surrey Police Officers' patrolling the streets of the Borough in marked enforcement vehicles tackling a range of problems including:-

  • Abandoned vehicles
  • Dog fouling
  • Fly posting and graffiti
  • Fly tipping
  • Litter
  • Breaches of a Public Space Protection Order (PSPO)

To report discarded syringes and other items relating to drug abuse found in the street, parks and open spaces (privately owned property is the responsibility of the owner), please call Neighbourhood Services. Priority is given to the removal of these items.01784 446411

The Community Safety Team (Spelthorne Borough Council)

Antisocial behaviour (ASB) is often not at the threshold at which the police can investigate,  but it may still have an adverse impact on people's lives or on the community. Police will contact the Community Safety Team or suggest that an informant/victim contacts them.

Antisocial behaviour can be reported to the Community Safety Team via the `Report' area of the website Spelthorne report.  If residents prefer not to use the online forms please contact:

The team are able to discuss situations if people are nervous about reporting things. They also provide crime prevention advice and information about community CCTV and signage relating to antisocial behaviour, water safety and neighbourhood watch.

They also deal with ASB concerns that the wider community are facing as opposed to isolated incidents or reports. For example Nitrous Oxide (NOS) canisters.

The Community Safety Team are part of several multi agency partnerships to with tackle problem individuals, regular offenders and problem areas. The partners all bring different skills, knowledge and powers which are used to tackle complex situations.
