Allotments are very popular and in high demand for growing home grown fruit and vegetables. They can provide you with a new hobby and it doesn't matter if you are an experienced or novice gardener. Having an allotment allows you to:

- meet like-minded people
Spelthorne Council manage 10 allotment sites in the Borough. Each site has a volunteer representative who give their time to help run the site. They are a contact between the allotment tenants and the Council and they represent the plot holders’ interests, assist with site management, and support the allocation of plots.

Plot sizes
Allotments are traditionally measured by the rod - a unit of measurement equals to 25 square meters. Plots are normally five rods plots.
How much does an allotment cost?
Half price for those over 60 - proof of eligibility required.
The price is double for those who live out of the Borough.
