Priority Services Register

The Priority Services Register (PSR) is a free UK wide service designed to provide extra support to vulnerable residents who may need additional assistance with their energy, water, or gas services. This register helps utility companies tailor their services to meet the specific needs of these customers.

If electricity, gas or water supply gets interrupted, utility providers can put in place priority re-connection measures and offer alternative facilities for cooking and heating.

You can join the PSR if you:

  • are of state pension age
  • have a disability or long-term medical condition
  • are recovering from an injury or have recently been discharged from the hospital
  • Have young children or are pregnant
  • have additional communication needs, such as difficulty reading or speaking English

If you think you or someone in your household could benefit from the PSR, you can contact your utility provider to register.
