There are several scheduled elections which the Electoral Services department are responsible for planning and running.
Spelthorne Borough Council Elections are held every four years. There are 13 wards within the borough, each overseen by three councillors. Residents can vote for a maximum of three candidates to represent their area.
Surrey County Council Elections are also held every four years. There are seven electoral divisions within Spelthorne, each represented by 1 county councillor.
The Police and Crime Commissioner for Surrey, which is included in your council tax payments, is elected by the residents of Surrey every 4 years.
Electoral Services are also required to make arrangements for any Parliamentary elections, whether scheduled or called for by central government, along with nationwide or local Referendums.
Your name must appear on the Electoral Register for Spelthorne if you wish to vote in any of these elections.
