The consultation closed in February 2021 and in May 2021 the Council has exercised the power under section 59 of the Anti-Social Behaviour Crime and Policing Act 2014. The Order comes into force on 28 May 2021 and applies to all public land within the Borough. The Order prevents the use of any psychoactive substance from being taken. Any person without reasonable excuse who fails to comply with this order will be issued a Fixed Penalty Notice of £100 or risk a fine in court of £1,000.
