Part of the strategy for Spelthorne Council in the coming years is to lower the carbon footprint of the Borough as a whole. This means lowering emissions, increasing recycling, reducing the amount going to landfill, creating, and utilising more green energy and taking responsibility for our impact on the environment.
The collection, management and disposal of waste has a major impact on our carbon footprint which is why we are delighted that our commercial waste collection service Spelthorne Direct Services Limited (SDS), now in its third year, is going from strength to strength. They are helping the business community to increase recycling and lower general waste which could otherwise end up being incinerated or worse still going to landfill.
Operating out of our Ashford depot, SDS is ideally placed to offer your business a truly local waste collection service, which reduces vehicle carbon emissions, keeps costs to a minimum, and provides your business a prompt and reliable service.
SDS currently collects general waste, dry mixed recycling, glass, food, and garden waste collections in a variety of bins sizes, so can tailor their service to meet your needs. They can also supply baling machines for both cardboard and plastic.
By using SDS, not only could you lower your waste collection costs, but you will be helping the local community, as their profits will use to support discretionary council services, such as parks and recreation for the young and accessible transport services for the elderly and disabled.
If you would like to discuss your waste collection requirements or get a comparison quotation, please email customerservices@spelthornedirectservices.co.uk or call Graham or Zoey on 01784 605620.
