Filming in Spelthorne

The Borough of Spelthorne is home to Shepperton Studios which is currently under major expansion. It will soon encompass the online streaming services of Netflix and Prime Video.

The Borough has proved a popular place to film TV productions, adverts and films. It is situated in the north of the County of Surrey and is just 15 miles south west of central London. The major towns are Staines-upon-Thames, Sunbury-on-Thames, Ashford, Shepperton and Stanwell. As the names suggest, the River Thames runs through the Borough which provides an attractive focal point.

We have plenty of attractive parks and open spaces, some of which include:

Please note that in order to process a request to film here, we will need the following;

• Two weeks minimum notice
• Evidence of public liability insurance up to a minimum of £5 million.
• A risk assessment for the project
• A brief description of the project
• A purchase order number for the fee
