Welcome to our new website!
We would like to receive any feedback on your experience, please email news@spelthorne.gov.uk.
Interactive maps are available on the Environment Agency's website where you can see if your home or business is at risk from flooding - although it is important to note these are indicative only and every flood is different, so you should always make sure you are adequately prepared.
If you are at risk, you can opt in to the free Floodline Warnings Direct service, to have warnings sent to you from the Environment Agency by phone, text message or email - although if you don't opt in you can still view the current flooding status online. The flood warning service is updated every 15-minutes and comprises three stages, which indicate the current level of danger. These are:
Flood Alert - flooding is possible, be prepared.
Flood Warning - flooding is expected, take immediate action.
Severe Flood Warning - extreme flooding is imminent, there is a danger to life.
During flooding, this website will be updated based on the current flood warning status, to provide you with up-to-date information as to the nature of the flood and the actions you should take.
Following either of the 'Flood Warning' or 'Severe Flood Warning' stages, once there is no longer a risk of flooding a 'Warning No Longer in Force' notice will be issued.
