Strategic planning and Spelthorne local plan
Strategic Planning is responsible for preparing, altering and reviewing a number of key planning policy documents that are used to guide development in the Borough of Spelthorne. This includes the preparation of Local Plans and other policy documents, associated research, monitoring and sustainability appraisal. These planning policy documents must conform to relevant Government guidance, set out in the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations (2012).
Other work involves responding to Government consultations, regional plans, minerals and waste development plans and major transport projects.
