EV ChargePoint consultation

ev
Surrey County Council are asking for resident feedback on EV ChargePoint installations (to be installed and fully managed by Connected Kerb) via a public consultation from Thursday 12 February to Thursday 12 March.

Provide feedback via:

The locations have come from a combination of residents and SCC officer suggestions and have then been proposed by Connected Kerb after being assessed by them as commercially viable. Parking managers have then reviewed the locations to check their suitability from a road safety and practicality basis. The following locations are below:

The above locations will be communicated to local residents on 12 February 2026 (see attached example consultation material), and feedback will be invited through a Commonplace survey or by telephone to the SCC customer helpline. The consultation will be open for 28 days.

As shown in the above table, it is not currently proposed to implement any TRO in association with these installations, and therefore the bays will remain available to all. This is to alleviate residents’ concerns about loss of parking. If at a later date, it was proposed to restrict the use of these bays to Electric Vehicles only, it would have to be done through the usual Traffic Regulation Order review process, that would include a new consultation.
