Functional Economic area analysis

This report seeks to define the Functional Economic Area (FEA) for Spelthorne. The draft report concludes that Spelthorne sits within a Heathrow-focussed FEA, and holds its strongest links with Runnymede, Hounslow, Hillingdon and Elmbridge.  The report has been produced in line with national policy and planning guidance, which requires local authorities to have a good understanding of the wider economic area of which they are a part, so that they can clearly identify which neighbouring authorities they need to work with under the Duty to Cooperate.
