To comply with the Data Protection Act and General Data Protection Regulation, Spelthorne Borough Council, Council Offices, Knowle Green, Staines upon Thames, TW18 1XB must provide Disabled Facility Grant contractors with the following information about the personal data provided to us:
- The Council is the data controller for the data provided and will use the data to assess and process Disabled Facility Grant applications under The Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996. The lawful basis for processing is Legal Obligation.
- Your information may be shared with Clients, family, friends, Next Of Kin, Adult/Children Social Services, Social and Private Landlords.
- For the purpose of processing payments your data will be shared with Spelthorne Borough Council finance.
- Your data may also be used in situations when there is concern regarding the individual's welfare.
- We will only disclose information to other organisations if we have a legal duty to release data to prevent or detect fraud, prevent, or detect crime, protect public funds.
- The Council will keep your data for a maximum of 10 years from the certified date of the grant being completed.
