Spelthorne Borough Council would like to collect your contact details along with your survey answers in order to be able to support the third sector within Spelthorne and to help you to be able to continue to volunteer.
In order to comply with the Data Protection Act and General Data Protection Regulation, Spelthorne Borough Council must provide those responding to the survey with the following information about the personal data you give to us.
- the Council will use the data provided to:
- help us plan our future work within the Spelthorne Community
- understand the issues that you have encountered
- to support our third sector organisations
- provide the support and assistance you need to help continue to volunteer
- the Council will be acquiring your data from you completing the survey and will be processing this data under the lawful basis of public task
- the Council is using Survey Monkey to conduct this survey; you can view Survey Monkey's Privacy Policy here
- your information may be shared within the Council and with Voluntary Support North Surrey so that we can work together to support the needs of our volunteers and third sector organisations
- your data may also be used in a report into the response of the third sector to the Covid-19 pandemic, but your personal information WILL NOT be included in this report, just the findings
- the information will not be passed on to any other third parties, or transferred out of the EU
- the Council will keep your data for a maximum of 7 years after the last contact was made

- if you find that the information Spelthorne Borough Council holds about you is no longer accurate, you have the right to ask to have this corrected
- you have the right - under certain conditions - to ask us to erase your personal data
- you may request that Spelthorne Borough Council stops processing your personal data in relation to any council service (this may delay or prevent us delivering a service to you, we will seek to comply with your request but may be required to hold or process information to comply with our legal duties)
