Spelthorne Borough Council Whitehouse Depot, Kingston Road, Ashford, TW15 3SE, is the data controller in the context of the Data Protection Act 2018 and will be collecting your name, work address and contact details for the Burial Records.

  • The Council is processing your personal information on the lawful basis of legitimate interests.
  • It is in our interests to collect your information in order to organise and carry out council duties relating to internments and funerals. It is also in our interests to hold your details if there are any enquiries regarding the services received.
  • Your information is sent to us by the funeral organiser, where you will then clarify and provide us information via an application form.
  • The Council will keep your data for their Burial records in perpetuity (125 years) as advised by the Institute of Cemetery and Crematorium Management.  Written records will be kept for 6 years and then destroyed.

Your data is not subject to any automated processing, and will not be shared with third parties or outside the EU.
