Spelthorne Borough Council is the data controller under the definitions provided by the Data Protection Act 2018 and the UK General Data Protection Regulation. The lawful basis that the council is processing your data on is public task. Our public task is to work with the Department of Works & Pensions (DWP), the Government's Levelling Up Fund and Surrey County Council to support residents in the borough into education, employment, or training.
As part of this work, Spelthorne Borough Council will be collecting the following types of information, either via our website or directly from you or from Job Centres; -
If you are a business - your company name, address, email address and/or telephone number and information on the type of skills you are looking for.
If you are a resident - your name, address, email address and/or telephone number and information on the type of opportunities you are looking for. As part of the support we may take other information about you, from you, to enable us to understand your needs.
As part of this work, Spelthorne Borough Council may share your personal information with third party organisations; -
If you are a business - your information will be shared with residents deemed to fit your skills criteria.
If you are a resident - your information may be shared with our volunteers and with businesses who may be able to provide job/training opportunities.
If you are a resident - you may be invited to a face to face meeting at various venues within the borough.
Spelthorne Borough Council will keep your information for 7 years after your last contact with the Jobs and Skills Hub.
You are under no statutory or contractual obligation to provide data to Spelthorne Borough Council. However, if you do not provide the information, the Council may not be able to provide the support you need.
