Spelthorne Borough Council publishes a number of press releases which are shared via email to news agencies and residents. Spelthorne Borough Council is the body exercising control over the purpose and the manner in which personal data is processed. We are process press releases data under article 6 (e) public task lawfulness of processing according to the UK GDPR.
The Council will be acquiring your data from responses to requests for information, publicly available information, and face to face contact
The data is provided to the council by collecting publicly available email addresses of news agencies and by those who have indicated their wishes to subscribe to receiving press releases.
You will continue to receive the press releases until such a time you wish to no longer receive them. You have the option to opt out by email if you no longer wish to receive them and your email address will be removed from the system.
The information will not be passed on to any other third parties or transferred out of the EU.
